St. Cloud police arrest two men for armed robbery


ST. CLOUD – Two men were arrested after an armed robbery in Saint-Cloud on Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to the 14th Street South and 6th Avenue South area around 4:20 p.m. for an armed robbery in progress.

Officers arrived to find a man who had been robbed and whipped with a pistol. The suspects had fled the scene before officers arrived at the scene, but officers were able to locate the two men and take them into custody.

Police say suspects have been identified as 32 years old Antonio harris and 24 years old Tygir Winfield. Both men are being held at Stearns County Jail where they face charges of aggravated theft.

The victim suffered only minor injuries during the assault.

Police say the investigation is continuing and no further information is available at this time.
